A Garden in Rural Herefordshire

for a black & white country house

Several areas of the garden have recently been updated, including the creation of a semi-circular rose garden next to the entrance court where a low curving hedge protects a series of hyssop edged beds planted with red, pink and white roses.

On the south side of the garden, a herb garden has been created on a sunny terrace where clipped box balls, lavender, sage, thyme and nepeta mingle, whilst blocks of lavender, white roses and rosemary form a low hedge to the perimeter, combining for a wonderful scent on a still summer’s evening.
